Announcements!

Just to let everyone know, we have made a change to the dispatch system so that Park Hills (or the first available mutual aid engine) is dispatched for structural alarms. For the time being, we have removed Engine 752 from service in the CAD system so that it will automatically skip to the next mutual aid unit for a second engine. We will try and see if we can come up with a better long-term solution soon, but cannot do that right now due to the new year.
PLEASE NOTE: IF WE HAVE A CREW AVAILABLE FOR 752, WE SHOULD STILL BE RESPONDING IN IT FOR ANY STRUCTURAL ALARMS!!!
We made this change because we rarely have enough responders to staff both 751 and 752, but this will not prevent us from having both engines respond when we have the manpower available.
Chief Schewe and I will keep you posted on additional changes as they are made. Thanks to all for everything you have done this past year (as well as previous years) and we hope that you have a safe and happy new year!!!

I just wanted to give everyone a "heads up" that we will be incorporating new AEDs into our operations. The LP500s are becoming old and three of them are in need of new batteries. In lieu of replacement batteries and
then changing, the decision has been made to purchase one at a time over the course of the year until all are replaced. Several were surplus because of the RRV and going ALS. The new AEDs will be Phillips FRx models that use the same pads as the ALS monitor. I am not sure when training will be executed on the new model, but after the first defibrillator arrives it will be referred to the training division. I know it's just nice to know what's going on before you hear any rumors.
Thanks,
Cindy

***** Do not call dispatch for any reason other than times. Report any problem you have to an officer or myself. Again do not contact dispatch for any reason other than times. Report any problems to an officer or
myself. So if you are not Me, Greg Vogel, Cindy Ford, Ron Becker or Jeff Hatter do not call them(dispatch) for anything other than times. I hope this is clear and easy to understand.
Thanks Chief Schewe
